Could NOPD have shown up sooner? Of course. Here in the French Quarter we see it often. In fact we had a a guy dead on the sidewalk, next to the Cathedral. The building staff came out and put up a small fence and covered it with sheets, out of respect for the decedent. That said? It still took like two hours for anyone from NOPD to show up at all. I guess they figured, "He's dead anyway, why hurry?" This kind of indifference is appalling, and disrespects everyone...
